A home is just a House, without a Dog in it. When I return home, and see my 4-legged companion, at the window, impatiently howling out my arrival , to the whole neighborhood, it's embarrassing, but, it warms my heart. And the second I step through that door, I'm showered with  big sloppy, wet kisses, from head to toe. I could be gone for only 10 minutes, I always get the same Welcome Back reception, kisses & all.  Lillian, had been planning for her senior prom since Kindergarten, especially the prom dress. No store bought gown for this Belle of the ball. This Princess wanted an original, so Lil designed her own gown and had it custom made. Now, at the first fitting, Lily stood in front of the full length mirror, with tears in her eyes...  She whispered, 'Mirror Mirror on this wall, Im gonna kick some Dress maker's BALLS!' Needless to say, SHE DIDN"T like it...

 

 

 

 

 

Many marriages during the 50s, were actually like the TV sitcoms of that era. Father Knows Best, Ozzie & Harriet, the husbands, always the Bread Winners, the wives, Stay at Home Moms. Sadly, those wives, took for granted, the fact, 'all men cheated, even the Kennedy brothers, 'bless the Boys souls. And those 'happy to be barefoot & pregnant,'  committed 'little women,' are just too tired to be a 'Run Around Sue.' The wife of the fifties, had to be mother, cook and 'Sex Kitten', 24/7.
