Because of tomorrow's 'gobble up' day, this WEDNESDAY'S Mixed Nuts, is a 2 for 1- holiday special. As a child, I knew when grandpa went all the way to North Beach to buy meats for our dinner, it was going to be a Swanson TV dinner for me. Papa Luigi brought home animal parts you'd find in a VooDoo shop! Goat Eyes, I kid you not, grandpa's favorite. Pop would dip them in Olive Oil and just go to town. Luigi always brought home calf brains, which the whole family ate, and 'Cow tongue!' That boiled cow tongue took a licken', but still ended up in our kitchen, weekly. Tongues are definitely an acquired taste, as you will see...

 

 

 

 

Ode to My Bladder and I

Twinkle Twinkle, my tiny bladder,

Finding a bathroom is all that matters.

Up we climb. to the 5th floor so high

To the store's 'one restroom' , my bladder and I.
