What struggling single mom, wouldn't jump at a chance, for a high paying 'City job,' when offered? That's how a friend of mine, became a Muni Driver. It was all good for the first few years, until that ONE Day, when the Fickle Finger of Fate interfered. 'Nature was calling, ' when my friend decided to make an emergency pit stop. She told the riders on the street car she's be right back. Seconds later, when she returned, the street car, its passengers and her career was gone! Muni, later found out, it was a ex, Muni employee, who took the unattended car for a 'last,' spin!
Have you ever gone an entire day without sunshine? Here in the Bay Area, that's what we're experiencing. The entire sun has been blocked out by the numerous fires burning, from Washington's & Oregon's Wildfires, and from Bay Area fires burning for over a week now. Wildfires, Power outages and COVID19, this sure ain't the California the Beach Boys used to sing about. What can a normal person do the deal with such stressful times?

You've seen them, they're those people who stroll along our City streets, with their faces, glued to their cell phones. Cells, just inches away from their noses, walking like spaced out zombies. A friend of mine, actually hit a 'Phone Reader,' while driving through a West Portal busy intersection. The Phone reader, crossed against a RED LIGHT, totally unaware the light had changed. Fortunately, a cop, who was standing across the street, saw the whole incident! It was the Phone Reader who got a ticket that day, and NOT my friend!
